A contest for the spazioBACCA logo
Biodiversity · Environment · Climate · Culture · Art
A contest open to students of design, communication, graphic and visual design and related fields, to build together the official logo and the first visual identity of spazioBACCA, the new civic hub at the Giardino Pippa Bacca in Milan.
01The project
spazioBACCA (Biodiversity, Environment, Climate, Culture, Art) is a new civic hub dedicated to urban sustainability, active participation and cultural outreach through art, education and shared practices. The association Green City Italia, in partnership (ATS) with Fondazione ECCO Think Tank ETS, was awarded the space at the Giardino Pippa Bacca, in the heart of Milan, through a public call promoted by the City of Milan.
We recommend browsing the spazioBACCA website and social channels to get a deeper sense of the project’s values, tone and positioning, so as to develop a proposal that’s coherent with the nature of the initiative. The current spazioBACCA logo is temporary and should not be taken as a design or stylistic reference for the contest.
02Goal of the contest
To select the official spazioBACCA logo and an essential graphic proposal to support the project’s visual identity.
The visual identity should:
- support the launch and programming of spazioBACCA;
- be easily applicable across both digital channels and physical materials;
- ensure clarity, legibility and consistency over time;
- represent the project in a contemporary, accessible and inclusive way;
- highlight the connection with the Giardino Pippa Bacca and the urban context of Milan.
03Who can take part
The contest is open to students, preferably but not exclusively enrolled in design, communication, graphic design, visual design, media and related courses — high schools, ITS technical institutes, academies, universities and master’s programmes.
